Newcastle City Supermoto and round 1 of the FIM Asia Supermoto Championship was an awesome event. Started 12th in Aus Pro Open and finished 7th in race 1. progressive grids meant I started 7th and finished 5th in race 2. And finished 6th in race 3. I qualified 16th from 27 in the FIM Asia Supermoto Championship. Was up to 11th in the first race before a clutch issue forced me to retire, which meant race 2 i started from 21st on the grid. Finally found my element and made my way through the pack to 6th.. until a lapped rider tried moving out the way on one of the faster corners and moved into my line. I ran up the back of him and it sent me up the gutter into a light pole. Feel like I've been hit by a bus, suspected fracture in my left ankle, stiff and grazed right elbow, bruised ribs, a black eye and a locked jaw.
Apart from that the racing was awesome and the event was a massive spectacle.. Keen for next year. Big thanks to Ant West for helping make it happen, West Sliders, Motorcycle Exhaust Professionals and the whole family for making it interstate to support me. Happy Father's Day to the greatest dad, hope crashing infront of you didn't wreck ya day
